September 2024: The owner of this new Boardman 9.0 ADV Gravel bike asked for the saddle to be lowered which meant trimming the seat post. After a few weeks of use, the gear cables also needed a slight adjustment to keep shifting smooth.
September 2024: This Whyte road bike does about 3000 miles a year and came in for a significant service and repair. After a full clean and degrease it had a Gold Service (cables) plus new brake pads, bottom bracket bearings, chain, cassette, freehub and front chainring.

Hi my name is Keith and like many people, I'd always had a bike but had never really been a 'cyclist'. Then about 10 years ago a friend asked if I would take part in a ride for charity. Having never cycled more than 10 miles in one go before, training for and completing the 60 mile ride presented some interesting challenges!
After that first charity ride on a hybrid bike I moved on to a road bike and have been a regular cyclist ever since. In 2021, a group of us completed our first long distance off road ride - The King Alfred's Way. We have since completed many other off road and gravel routes such as the C2C ,West Kernow Way and the Caledonian Way.
As I covered more miles and on different terrain, I realised that the bikes needed much more servicing, much more maintenance and occasionally much more repair! Rather than keep taking my bikes somewhere else, I began doing the servicing, maintenance and repairs myself as a hobby - and then this soon included friend's and children's bikes too!
Having recently retired from a 30 year career, I'd been thinking about turning my hobby in to the 'next experience' for some time.
Then last year, as I was just finishing a bike ride, I was approached by another cyclist who was having difficulties with his bike. Whilst I helped get him back on the road he mentioned that there were limited places for bike servicing or repair in Droitwich and that he had no way of transporting his bike to a bike shop or service centre.
As Droitwich is a growing town with excellent cycling routes nearby, it occurred to me that there must be many cyclists in the same situation. So I set up KHC Bike Repair to provide simple, convenient and affordable bike servicing and repair in and around the Droitwich Spa area.
